1981 Britains 12 Alien Soldiers On Die Cast Bases
Here's a motley group of 12, mostly tentacled, alien figures produced by Britains, England. Each figure is plastic set into a painted die cast metal base. The underside of each base is marked Britains. All are complete with original weapons with the exception of Plantboy. His green "whatever" is not original to the toy. It appears that Britains tried to concoct all types of humanoid, animal, and even plant based extraterrestrials. One even has a dinosaur head. Seven have green bodies with silver heads. Four have silver bodies and silver heads. And one has a black body with red head. All weapons are red with the exception of the red-head who has a silver weapon (and of course Plantboy with his green dental pick). Seven figures have red painted metal bases. The remaining five are blue. Looking at the condition of these guys it appears that none of them were ever played with. Size: Average 2½" (including base) Date Sold: Apr. 2011
